Elaboration

Posted by kikakuya on June 10, 2009

The environment, the material, reflectivity, and the resolution of the last post “Skyward”  were changed and re-rendering was done. The pilot was unloaded, engine was stopped this time and cockpit was opened. It is an impossible problem in current QuickTime and my old Mac to make the animation by this fine resolution. After all, let’s leave animation to special software. It will make elaborate the glide slope and reflecting at next post.

Skyward-2

Posted by kikakuya on June 10, 2009

Old Strata is unskilled to make animation. Strata 3D is traditional software of the still picture. It’s not easy to render scalable move. However, it is considerably interesting to make a short animation. A little dream bring to me a scalable dream. There are an elegance moves though they are so rough resolution. Their concept is quite different from recent animated cartoon software. The image below is a usual still picture. Movie below is an animation ,which was edited by Strata’s extention. It’s fun absolutely.

Dedication on the day of laying the ashes of the dead

Posted by kikakuya on May 10, 2009

My mother died in April. She lived to be 88 years old.  Dead’s soul spends for 49 days with the family in the custom of Japan. Her ashes spend this period with my family. It is an important period. The time of saying good-bye for the 49 days were finished, her ashes were laid in the family grave today. She started new life by side of my father’s ashes in the world of soul again. New name of soul was given by family temple. Her soul will come back to my home to see my family once a year from this year.

Holiday of Heisei era

Posted by kikakuya on May 1, 2009

There is a troublesome concept of name of an era in  Japan. It is because the Heisei era name always cohabits with the Christian era name in even to every corner of life. What meaning exists in Japanese people? Why is the name of an era necessary? April 29 is named “Day of Showa era”. Today is Christian era 2009,April 29. At the same time,it means the 21st year of Heisei era,April 29 in daily life. This date method is popular operation than Christian era. But, the computer refuses this date. It is converted into the display with 2009. However, the Heisei era is used for the driver’s license and the resident registration.
That is a troublesome.04303

Looking for the sky of hope with

Posted by kikakuya on March 2, 2009

2 years’ renderings were summarized at 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Bad modelings and renderings are these 20 times. There are also a lot of part with no modeling. The similar is different from the identical. The similar is merely concept similar. “Looking like” is that it’s not “similar”, too. This must be true.

It was still full of humanity.

Posted by kikakuya on December 1, 2008

Cool 3D animation of Boeing 787-8 was found by youtube during data search. This is Fhilippine Airlines 787.   This is promotion movie which Mr. John0619’s site FS Pinoy (http://fsxpinoy.110mb.com) posted.

The large-sized plane has very calmly(not sound) good feelings. It is my favorite feeling from my childhood. There is wrapping power like a mother in. In my childhood, I’ve often been looking at the passenger plane at Haneda Airport all day long.  I’ve been to Fiji by JAL DC-8 (probably, nobody knows) 38 years ago.  The inside was very narrow with a small seat.  It took very long long time to get to Fiji. Passengers became a friend each other, and shared the long hard flight. It was a trip like a school trip. … Although it was hard, it remembers that it was pleasant. When the size of DC-8 is compared with 747 jet, it is a super mini size. It was the airplane by which it was still full of humanity. This 3D promotion movie of Fhilippine Airlines made old pleasant recollections remember. Details of mapping are fully brewing the weightiness of the large-sized machine.   The terrestrial scene is also cool. There are also works of a huge passenger plane in FS Pinoy site.  Fly here.

An Imaginative Angel 2008

Posted by kikakuya on June 18, 2008

Japan is a rainy season now. This week is a recess of a rainy season. The first grandchild was born in the short interval of clear weather. It occurred to me that he might be unable to meet this deep blue sky on his first grandchild birthday in 2060. Never don’t be so for our planet.

The Early Bird Catches Worms.

Posted by kikakuya on May 24, 2008

When having taken the train in the early morning, I noticed some facts. The far mountain beyond a window is also moving together. “Such a thing is natural! ” “Study more.” is likely to be said from a junior high school student. When this fact is applied to animation, I have noticed it being real visible to “That is more real visible”. When a 3D object moves, the background must also move together. A front object and the relation of how to move a background can do explanation mathematically. Anyway, it decided to actually experiment. It is a simple Dynamics “A uniform straight-line motion.” “Slanting bird’s-eye view” are used to take both a distant-range and a close-range view. It is because the position of a horizon is important for a background. This background photo is placed at the back angle of about 60 degrees to the body(Shinden). However, if a background is brought close to Shinden as it is, it is not visible to “movement”. It is only approach of a background.
Next view is expected. A distant view looks to be slowly and close-range view looks to be quickly. Then, the following plan was considered. The background is moved to the lower part about 50cm without changing an angle. If it does so, the background position will fall by about 40cm and a background will approach about 40cm by the theorem of triangle.Since a new distant-range view appears in the upper side, the position of the horizon is still at the original position. That is, the background is no approaching. Therefore, the flight of Shinden approaches a more real motion(probably). A result by the rendering should look at a lower animation (15 seconds)

Regeneration

Posted by kikakuya on April 10, 2008

It gets little by little warm as it rains. The old man said so. Therefore, people always waited eagerly for spring. Gradually various things begin to move in spring. My Shinden also began to move. I’m going to show such a spectacle today. Today’s flight schedule takes off from Saitama, and goes to Mt. Fuji. Shinden with Mt. Fuji is well-matched relations. An engine also has been tamed. let’s take off.

When Shinden tried to take off for the first time in 1945, the propeller struck the ground. The first flight was finished with failure.
Shinden took off safely in my 3D.

A throttle is opened fully with stopping the moment to a transverse direction. After going up to an altitude of 2000m, an air pattern is set to the Sagami bay. It is the flight for about 30 minutes to Mt. Fuji.

Although it is spring, there is still a lot of snow in the mountain in Fuji . Since there was no good photograph of spring, other photograph of winter was used . Even if metaphor spring comes, snow is required for Mt. Fuji. It is disgraceful in Fuji without snow.
I wish I could fly once with making Mt. Fuji into a background. Although it is individual sentimentality, the original scenery of the Japanese heart is felt.
This picture was made into the animation for about 15 seconds. It consists of continuous still pictures of 385 sheets.

The cherry tree bloomed in Japan this week. A true Spring came on. Let’s offer spring breath to Shinden recovered by 3D. First, I will move his engine. A stretch can be begun from spring vacation. Please expect to confirm how Shinden will develop from now on. The process of work is introduced from next time.

Shinden in Spring Wind

Posted by kikakuya on March 4, 2008

In Japan, “HARU ICHIBAN” (gust which tells a spring) blew. Today’s temperature became 15-degree Centigrade. Spring has come. It is Spring. All the things are going to change their clothes and colors. People becomes busy.
Poking the spring gust, Shinden flew today. It is a flight after a long time with new clothes.

Peaceful Fighter

Posted by kikakuya on January 27, 2008

Development of Shinden has closed the curtain by only the test flight for 45 minutes ,holding many subjects. Shinden has stopped material growth. Test records for two days were an altitude of 1640 ft,top speed of 161.5 mile/h and many defects to improve. I am not interested in the new possibility of the efficient and technical subject of this airplane, or combat efficiency. Because the reason is obvious that this fighter plane could not exist. Even if details of efficiency will be indicated, that is meaningless at my site, since everything is already told in many homepages in the world as a frame of the history end of Japanese warplane development.
Then, let’s speak about why the restoration of Shinden has been tried by 3DCG, having spent much time and efforts till today. This photograph is a test flight on January 25 on CG. It is Yokosuka sky. An altitude is at least 6500 ft. A throttle opens fully. After this, a course will be to the direction of 10:00. My view is the Sagami bay in 5minutes. This course goes in the direction of Izu, looking at the coastline to a right hand. If I were a pilot, I would like to fly like this. The pilot can see Mt. Fuji in space which is hiding on the right-hand side of the photograph. The cause planned to restore this airplane was this spectacle. That is “Shinden in the dream.” This Shinden has no 30mm machine gun. That is a very peaceful airplane. Neither B29 nor Grumman will come flying any longer. Why was such a dream? I don’t know. Some Shinden graphics of beginning of this blog are the CG of those days. A test flight still continues.

False and Close Resemblance

Posted by kikakuya on January 17, 2008

Mapping of the rivet was settled up temporarily at last. Next job is the fabrication of the inspiratory port of the circumference of the engine. Since new fabrication was accompanied, it became the homework to next time. The more it is minutely scrupulous, the more an unknown point of the fine portion increases. The more strict “abbreviation standard” is needed. Although the pilot has boarded, the inside of a cockpit is still untouched.
Although the talk changes, where is formal evaluation about how many design concepts have been materialized after this test flight for 45 minutes? It seems that nobody has left the formal comment. Honestly even with a photograph, judgment of truth is difficult. Which standard should be about “resembling”? What is the difference between “false resemblance” and “close resemblance” in 3d design?

That’s the light of Paris!

Posted by kikakuya on December 8, 2007

The work of this week is creation of a main wheel. From the scale of the photograph and the drawing, the rotation material (section) is made so that it may be usual. A main wheel is about 1.5 times the size of a front wheel. The diameter can be taken out from the ratio of a front wheel. The radius of a rim is drawn after a diameter is decided. Finally, the window of the side is mapped.

3sozai2.gifThe left figures are a tire, an inner wall of a rim, an outer wall of an axis, and a rim. They are finished setting up on the same axle.
The side of the rim of a main wheel has a swelling larger than the side of the rim of a front wheel. Although it is having felt at the time of front wheel creation, compared with the present rim, a design concept is clearly different. Although it is a digression, the movie of Atlantic Ocean nonstop crossing of Lindbergh which I saw at my chilhood was remembered. An English title is the “Spirit of St. Louis.” Japanese title is “My wing! That’s the light of Paris!”,if it translates literally. I remembered that the rim of the main wheel of Ryan NYP was a form just like a pot lid. Since then, When I look at an airplane, I came to look at a wheel first always.
